AGCOM BBmap

The art. 22 of the Electronic Communications Code and Law no. 9 of 2014 give the Authority for Guarantees in Communications (AGCOM) the task of setting up and maintaining a database of all the Internet access networks existing on the national territory.

The database offers the possibility of analyzing the state of development of the Internet access offer at the single address, as well as the possibility of making comparative assessments on the various technologies and speeds.

The information, accessible in a simple and intuitive way, can be used: by individual users curious to know which Internet access infrastructure reaches their home; by operators to define their investment plans; by the Government and local institutions and bodies to identify possible measures to bridge the digital divide.

The BBmap APP is provided as an additional aid, to limit the main difficulties encountered by some users on the browser of their mobile phone.
